He drew inspiration from unique stories related to the river and surrounding landscape. The American and European oak casks have been selected to create a flavour profile that will deliver a multifaceted experience; from the appealing rich brass natural colour, to the layers of aroma, followed by the deep and rewarding flavour.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eNose: \u003c\/strong\u003edeep toffee notes and caramelized nuts alongside Ovaltine and Weetabix. Raisins and a little mocha. Gingerbread. There’s some active, spicy oak behind this, showing baking spices like cinnamon and ginger. Although there’s some plummy sweetness, I’m always missing red fruits in whiskies like this, which go nuts (ha) on things like caramel and chocolate.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eMouth: \u003c\/strong\u003emore caramel coated nuts (almonds, hazelnuts) with a peppery warmth. Cinnamon pastry and chocolate. Soaked toasted oats. Sticky toffee pudding.
